Stimulating lively discussions between dementia researchers from different disciplines – that’s the mission of the annual Synapsis Forum. Over the course of 1.5 days, the event offers participants numerous opportunities to connect with other scientists from all over Switzerland and to exchange specialist knowledge. Young researchers in particular benefit from an excellent platform to expand their professional network.
The participation is limited to researchers who receive or received funding from the Synapsis Foundation. Each supported researcher is invited to bring along one accompanying person that is/was working on the funded project.
During the event, selected researchers will give insights into their research projects supported by Synapsis Foundation. We are very pleased, that Prof. Jonathan M. Schott, University College London, accepted our invitation to answer the question “What can a birth cohort tell us about neurodegeneration and dementia?”. A focus on the topic of brain health will be set by Prof. Marcel Arnold, University Hospital Bern, who will present the Brain Health Consultation at the Inselspital Bern. During the poster session in the evening of the first day, all participants are invited to present their work. Based on feedback from the community, we will again be offering a networking workshop on the afternoon of the second day.
The poster session will be core element of the program. We encourage all supported researchers to participate in the poster session in the evening of Monday, 18 November 2024 and to give early career researchers the opportunity to present and discuss their work.
